nicole owens ROCKS

nicole owens ROCKS!!!! i have played for hours and hours...and hours...(did i say hours?) trying to figure out how to get my images bigger LARGER for my blog. so, today- i thought why not just email nicole owens? i read her blog 60 piggies daily...i really admire her work... and SHE ROCKS!!!! she helped me figure out how to make my pictures not big, not large, but HUGE!!!!!! (okay, possibly i made them a little too big...) but for the following post- i am leaving them HUGONGOUS!!!! just because after 2 years i finally figured it out! HEE HAW!!!!!!

4th of july....

Look at Abe Lincoln! This was so much fun! His hat was huge!

the 4th of JULY!!!! one of our favorite holidays around here... i love all the American flags and the traditions of our family every year... wearing our red, white and blue...getting ready for the parade.... decorating the scooters was a big hit this year...parading thru the neighborhood...and of course, the yummy (and messy) bomb pops! swimming and playing all day... and even a visit from Abraham Lincoln! summer seems to keep getting more and more fun each day! one month of summer still left! yippppeee!!!!

this storyboard is one of my favorites! this little guy is 2 years old... and too cute! it will have an inch and a half border around it- which i really like- so it looks like it is matted when it comes. lots of times, i will remove the glass from a standard 16x20 or 20x24 size frame and frame these without glass. they look really neat and the picture pops without glass. a more "artsy" feel than behind glass.

back to blanc

if you haven't been to blanc burgers + bottles - now you have 2 choices: you can go in westport or in leawood - at mission farms. back for a few more pics. it is sooOOOoo fun there- i have so much fun with the little shopping carts of fries and onion rings. it's a photographer's dream to shoot food like this... and this time, we shot the beer!

family fun...

this is my very favorite picture from the day with this fantastic family! i love that both girls are barefoot and have great big smiles...yet in about 2 more seconds- they would be gone- off and running. i love that i didn't even tell mom and dad to kiss (and they are!!!) and that it just happened to be in the 2 seconds that the girls are sitting and were "catchable" on camera. it just happened to work- and i love that. best family pic of the day. (best family ever!) so fun!

time is flying...

seems like time is flying. do you ever feel like you know time is going to go fast and so you purposely relish the little things...yet, time still goes really fast? wow. guess that means one thing: we are getting old. baseball in the summer. this is a highlight at our house already. yowzers! and this little (he's still little to me) guy was so excited to put on the catching gear for his baseball game. very fun stuff that makes me love summer....

a little dream...

this little one was just a dream... she was brand new...so tiny...and so sweet. a beautiful baby girl. wow. i love the tiny, newborn scrunchy stage. oh, so fun!

and speaking of fun....big brother was alot of fun too! he had all kinds of fun faces to share....and trains to tell us about! here are just a few. the morning spent with this family was one of my favorite to date. easy going and natural....having fun and lovin' on their new baby!
